As from 18 October, the old Solaris-based license servers were stopped. All supported engineering, mathematics and software development tools that were relying on these servers have been migrated to use new license servers on Linux or Windows. This migration should have been transparent to users.

However, users of old versions of engineering or mathematics software with local installations of the package on Windows may be affected.

Please install the latest version of your package via CMF, or use the generic FAQ below for details on how to update your installation. Links to specific FAQ entries for Ansys, Mathematica and Matlab exist on the TWiki site that is mentioned in the Useful links below.

Discontinued products

As announced in the Desktop Forum in February 2008, the Software Development Tools (SDT) service has been stopped. This implies that no valid maintenance contract for the tools is available and thus the licenses for the following products will no longer be served:
• Codesurfer from Grammatech
• Logiscope from Telelogich
• Purify Plus, Requisite Pro, Robot, Rose, the Rational Suite and Soda from IBM Rational
• Sniff from Wind River
• IC++ Test and Insure++ from Parasoft
• Xdesigner from IST
• VisualThought from Confluent
• NAG version 7.2 with F95 support and NAG version 8 (NAG 7.2 has been moved to Linux license servers).
