Parvez Butt, chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), visited CERN on 15 October. Butt inspected the Pakistan-built saddle supports for the calorimeter, and toured the CMS assembly hall and surface civil engineering works. He also met with members of the Joint CERN-Pakistan Committee.
