Sustainable HEP 2025
12—15 May 2025 | Online
The Brundtland Report definition of sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. Environmental sustainability is critical for mitigating the severe consequences of climate change, supporting life on Earth, and enabling future generations to thrive. So, what does sustainability look like within research, particularly HEP?
This edition of Sustainable HEP will explore the intersection of HEP and the climate crisis and our paths forward as scientists. It aims to highlight ongoing sustainable initiatives within HEP and facilitate discussion leading to action within our field.
Everyone is welcome to register and participate, and we particularly encourage new attendees exploring the topic of sustainability within HEP! In addition, whilst this is a HEP conference, there will be quite a few sessions/talks relevant to the wider science community.
