Thermo Riko's patented Quartz Guided Infrared Heater is appropriate for clean heating in vacuum. High temperature, high speed, non-contact, no outgas and with any gas (oxygen) are the main features.

Japan Vacuum Instruments Ltd represents Thermo Riko's patented Quartz Guided Infrared Heater. The IR heater will heat up a sample with no contact by emitting high density IR light through a Quartz rod. The heater is appropriate for applications which requires clean heating in vacuum environment such as X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Thermal Desorption Spectrometer (TDS) but it can also be used in atmospheric environment.
The IR heater consists of an NIR light bulb as the heat source, a Gold coated spheroidal reflector as a lens and a Quartz rod as a guide of Infrared light to your sample surface with a minimal loss. High temperature, high speed, non-contact, no outgas and with any gas are the main feature. Max. temperature is 1,500ºC with 2kW model at max. 150ºC/s heating rate.
