Hamamatsu introduce a new range of MPPC detector modules, which complement and expand on the already popular existing range and are designed to allow simple evaluation of large area MPPC detectors.

The S11834-3388DF uses a 64 channel array of 3mm x 3mm discrete detectors, giving a very large total effective area of 576 mm2. It is supplied in an FPC package, uniquely designed to be non-magnetic, to allow use of the array in high magnetic field environments. The C11206-0404FB uses a 16 channel monolithic MPPC array with 3mm x 3mm channels, giving a total effective area of 144 mm2, allowing for maximum position resolution with minimum dead space. The C11206-0404FB includes an amplifier module connected via an FPC. Similar to the C11206-0404FB the C11206-0808FA includes a HV supply, temperature control circuit and dedicated ASIC (including amplifier and DAC). But the C11206-0808FA uses a 64 channel MPPC array with 3mm x 3mm discrete detectors, giving a total effective area of 576 mm2.
