Libera Photon - photon beam position processor Jun 5, 2009
The new all-in-one member of the Libera Family is an photon beam position processor suitable for usage in front ends of storage rings as well as in beamlines (e.g. monitoring, beamline feedback).
Being used in front ends, it can be easily integrated in an electron beam fast orbit feedback, especially together with Libera Brilliance (an electron beam position processor) since they share the same interface to the control system and the same data streams synchronized to TbT frequency.
It consists of current to voltage converters, AD converters, a digital signal processing, an internal bias voltage source, an internal calibration source and a communication interface. The four inputs and the built-in position calculation algorithms enable to measure position in two planes: horizontal and vertical or in two vertical planes.
