The experimental High Energy Physics group at Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia invites applications for a postdoctoral research position. Our group is engaged in electroweak SUSY searches in the CMS experiment and heavily involved in phenomenological studies for beyond standard model physics. The selected candidate is expected to either lead some of the CMS data analysis we are performing and/or take part on our phenomenology projects. The candidate will work together with two professors from our group, with whom he/she will define his/her research program according to his/her experience and interests.

We are seeking for candidates with a PhD in particle physics, either experimental or theoretical, with experience in data analysis and/or phenomenology. The candidate will be stationed at our university in Bogota. The selected candidate will have a small teaching load per semester (3 hours per week), lecturing a first year undergraduate physics course.

The position will be initially for one year with a possible extension to a second year, depending on performance of the candidate and funding.

Starting date: August 1st 2018
