With $83 million of new commercial backing and in partnership with recently formed company Silicon Quantum Computing Pty Ltd, CQC2T is seeking more than 20 researchers, engineers and technicians from industry and academia to accelerate the commercialisation of our world-leading research in silicon quantum electronics. The roles are across four research groups at a top Australian university, led by Professor Michelle Simmons, Professor Andrew Dzurak, Professor Sven Rogge and Professor Andrea Morello.

All staff positions offer: salary between AU $101,000 and 164,000 per annum; additional 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading; an initial 3-year term with possible extension; relocation costs paid by the employer.

PhD positions offer: AU $32,000 per annum (plus tuition fee and Overseas Student Health Cover for international students).

The advertised positions will be funded by Silicon Quantum Computing Pty Ltd: an AU $83 million start-up company established to accelerate development of intellectual property with backing from the Australian and New South Wales governments, Commonwealth Bank Australia, Telstra Corporation and UNSW Sydney. Founded in 2000, CQC2T has been at the forefront of the race develop scalable quantum computing technology in silicon and is pursuing fundamental research on the path to 1000s-of-qubit systems. Based at the UNSW Sydney campus in Australia, CQC2T and SQC are at the heart of Australia’s effort to build a scalable quantum computer.
