Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Technician in the Beams Department (BE), Beam Instrumentation Group (BI), Mechanics and Logistics (MbL) Section.

Qualification required

Higher technical diploma in the fields of mechanics or electro-mechanics, or equivalent.

Experience and competencies

The technical competencies required for this post are:

  • Commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Precision assembly and construction.
  • Design of mechanical systems.
  • 3D & 2D technical drawing.
  • Contract management.
  • Design of electro-mechanical systems for UHV environments.

The language competencies required are:

  • Spoken and written English or French: ability to understand and speak the other language in routine situations. Willingness to acquire the knowledge of the other language rapidly.

Note on Employment Conditions

We offer a limited-duration contract for a period of 5 years. Limited-duration contracts shall terminate by default on their date of expiry. Subject to certain conditions, holders of limited-duration contracts may apply for an indefinite position.

These functions require:

  • Work in radiation areas.
  • Interventions in underground installations.
  • A valid driving licence.
  • Stand-by duty, when required by the needs of the Organization.
  • Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organization.
