The Institute of Radiation Physics invites applications as

Associate (m/f) in the information technology (software engineer (m/f))

The position will be available from 1 July 2017 until 31 December 2020. The regular weekly working time will be 39 hours. The salary is based on the collective agreement TVöD-Bund. The place of work is Dresden-Rossendorf.

Requirements:

◾university degree (Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or Diploma) or equivalent in information technology, physics or electrical engineering

◾experience in administration and management of Linux systems

◾advanced skills in C/C++ (C++ 11 desirable)

◾version management with git, svn

◾experience in Python programming will be a plus

◾experience in data base programming will be a plus

◾ability to work in a collaborative team

◾good written and verbal communication skills in English

Tasks:

◾integration of Linux-based Controllers (MTCA.4) into the ELBE control system

◾development of server applications in C/C++ to control digital radio frequency regulation (LLRF)
