Deuteron spin
The spin of a stored polarized beam of 270 MeV spin-1 deuterons at the IUCF Cooler Ring. Note the striking behaviour of the spin-1 deuterons' tensor polarization (Pzz = +1 and -2) as the activation time (Δt) of the RF-solenoid is increased.
