The body of the HESS camera, which will house 60 "drawers", each containing 16 photomultiplier tubes and the associated electronics. The back part of the camera contains the power supplies, the trigger logic and the processor for the data read-out. The camera has a diameter of about 1.6 m and an active field of view of 5°. It weighs about 800 kg and dissipates 4 kW.
